In the inner core: figure of Cardinal  Henríquez, mint mark to the right. In the outer ring: inscription "Republic of Chile" in Spanish on the upper arch, laurel leaves on the lower one.

Raúl Silva Henríquez, SDB (27.09. 1907 -  9.04.1999) was a Chilean Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Archbishop of Santiago from 1961 to 1983, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1962.

In the inner core, symmetrically placed, the figure "500" and underneath the word "PESOS" and the year of minting, surrounded by laurel leaves on the outer ring. In the middle of the upper half of the outer ring a five-pointed star.
