The Czech koruna (koruna means 'crown') has been the currency of the Czech Republic since February 8, 1993 when it replaced the Czechoslovak koruna at par.

Wenceslaus or Wenceslas (c. 907 – Sept.28, 935) was duke of Bohemia from 921 until his death.
