The image of present day version of the Coat of Arms in the centre, title of state in Lithuanian underneath. Below the year of minting. The Coat of Arms of Lithuania is called Vytis (the Pursuer). It is one of the oldest Coat of Arms in Europe. |
The numbers '10' at the top of the coin, and the inscription 'CENTU' under it. Both inscriptions are arranged in the background of the ornamental triangular 'fir-tree' pattern. The coin has the rim, the inner side of which is plain. In 1997, nickel-brass 10, 20 and 50 centų coins were introduced. |
