The Coat of Arms of Lithuania is called Vytis (the Pursuer). It is one of the oldest Coat of Arms in Europe.

The number 20 at the top of the coin, a horizontal ornamental "fir-tree" pattern under it and the inscription 'CENTU' below. The coin has a rim, the inner side of which is plain.

In 1997, nickel-brass 10, 20 and 50 centų coins were introduced.
