In the centre is an embossed image of St. George the Warrior on horseback killing a serpent with a spear. The inscriptions along the rim "Bank of Russia"; below - the year of minting. Under the front left hoof of the horse are the Cyrillic letters M (Moscow) or C-Ï (St. Petersburg), indicating the city where the coin was minted.

In the centre is denomination with the inscriptions "Kopeks" underneath, and in the lower part of the coin and along the left edge is stylized branch.
