 Inscription along the rim: "Vladimir the Great". In the center: a effigy of the prince holding a cross in his right hand and a conventionalized depiction of the Church of Tithes in his left hand.

St. Vladimir Svyatoslavich the Great (c. 958 – 1015) was the grand prince of Kiev who converted to Christianity in 988.
