The inscriptions along the rim: title of state, in the center - image of 'Zimbabwe bird', below - the year of minting. The famous soapstone bird carvings stood on walls and monoliths of the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe. The ruins cover some 7.3 km² and are the largest ancient stone construction in Zimbabwe. |
